When I get the opportunity to photograph a baby with their cultural influence, it makes me giddy! When “Dad” sent me an email with images of these beautiful instruments by mind just started racing with ideas (some of which did not work out, I might add!) I could not wait to get my hands on those beautiful pieces.
At 6 weeks new, I expected this beautiful baby boy to be a lot more challenging then he was. He was a pleasure to work with awake, and was so very sweet when he slept, allowing me to move and mold him as I do with a baby of 7-12 days of life. I was quite shocked at how well he slept through all the movement, way to go little man!
I usually don’t ask for much assistance from “Mom & Dad” as I see this time as a break for them. I like for them to sit back and watch their baby be placed into the beautiful poses that we all love so much. However, on this shoot, there was just no way around it. I needed assistance with the instruments and both parents were so willing and helpful. I hope you feel all your hard work, compiled with my vision, payed off in the final images. Thank you so very much for working with me 🙂 and also for welcoming me into your home.
Enjoy your sneak peak.
