Photography is all about the light. When I started out as a photographer I used strobe lighting as this is what I had used in school. The more that I photographed newborns the more I noticed that the strobe lighting was just a little to harsh for the end result that I was trying to get. I then began “playing” with natural light and absolutely fell in love.
Natural light allows me to be creative to no end. The following images where taken on the same day, same time, only a minute apart, but as you can see, they are two completely different images with a different mood. One was properly exposed for the light, the other was over exposed….tastefully!!
This post is for everyone that is looking to take a more “interesting” picture. Don’t be afraid to play with your camera settings and throw them all outta wack, just because your camera says it’s right, doesn’t mean it’s “right” for you!!!
Enjoy,
Heather
