I get asked often if I would be willing to photograph a wedding or an event, and my answer is always the same, No thank you!
Why is that? Mainly because I prefer the simple one on one interactions that newborn and family sessions offer, but mostly because my heart is simply not in it.
My passion is newborn photography and my business opened up and blossomed into family photography as well when my newborn clients started to grow, and my clients continued to contact me to find out if I would document their family’s growth. At the time, around 6-7 years ago I was nervous, all I knew was newborns, but something told me I would also find a love for family photography.
I’m pleased, that all those years ago I said yes, and that over the years I have learned how to interact with families with young children in order to keep the essence of their family alive during our time together. To capture their family dynamic while also having fun and goofing around, it can be a challenge, but one that I absolutely love and am always up for!!
A big Thank you to these loving parents for entrusting your family’s memories with me. I thank you for your energy during our time together, and your help in chasing your beautiful babes around and trying to keep them within the frame. I loved documenting your candid interactions and watching the way you love your children!
May they always remember the love that you have for them and may these images help bring those memories to them as they grow up.

There’s no denying that being a new Mom is exhausting. Some days it takes so much energy just to get out of bed, and that’s mainly because you’ve likely just got into bed. Yup, that’s right, these tiny little humans like to keep their parents up all night long.
For this reason we offer newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home. You really don’t even need to get out of bed. Okay, okay, maybe you do, if you want to look presentable for your photos that is 😉
This biggest part of this babes session took place in one room, with one wrap, one loving older brother, and one set of dotting parents. Sounds pretty simplistic right? Well, it is!
My point is, if you want to stay in the comfort of your own home and have me do the travelling to the session, all you have to do is ask.
It was an absolute pleasure to be welcomed back into your lovely home, Mom and Dad! Thank you for allowing me the great pleasure of documenting your newest addition and the connection that you all have with him. Your boys certainly are handsome little guys that are sure to break many hearts, or at least turn them to mush, as they did mine.

Oh my……you’ve done it again!!!! These are just so precious. You’ve captured all of them so beautifully and artistically. I feel so lucky to have been able to watch you work again!!!
They have it, all five of them, a serious case of the happy’s, and I loveeeeeeeed witnessing it!! Their happiness was evident in the way Mom and Dad loved on each other and their children. With little glances here and there, a quick yet heartfelt smooch throughout our hour together, and a lot of smiles and laughter between them.
I don’t even know where to begin when describing just how happy this makes me. You see, these are not just clients to me, they are family. I grew up with, and spent most of my childhood with this beautiful Mamma! Seeing her as a happy wife, and a loving mother to her children just made my heart soar for her!
I loved being able to document this happy time in your lives and look forward to seeing you all again very soon!!!

On this particular day I felt like a total storm chaser. The forecast had us trying to decide whether we could make it work for our scheduled session, with our time frame being surrounded by rain. We went ahead with the session and on the drive out to this gorgeous location I drove through heavy wind, a little rain, and was questioning our choice the entire way.
As soon as I arrived, much to my surprise, the sun came out full force, offered up a beauty of a sunset, and the moment we finished up and got back into our cars the rain came pouring down, and I mean POURING!! At certain points during the drive home the rain was coming down so hard that I could barely see out my windshield.
Talk about good timing right!! I loved that this family was up for the adventure with me. I also loved their playful interactions and the little birthday celebration that we had for their sweet boy towards the end of the session.
Thank you Mom and Dad for another amazing session!! I’m so happy to have your beautiful faces back in front of my lens 🙂 I hope you love your peek!
