Upon walking into their beautiful home, their eldest and I became fast friends. We started by telling each other our names, our favourite colours, and how old we were ~ you know the most important facts when meeting someone new 😉
After our initial interactions she instantly asked to see my camera gear, which I’m sure you can imagine, put a big smile on my face. She had questions galore after that, and I was happy to chat with her while I set up the space to document her new baby sister. This time allowed big sister to feel 100% involved in the session. You see, bringing these brand new babies into the home, after it’s been the one child for a few years, it’s not easy on that child, and these tiny gestures, they really do make an impact.
And also, these moments, the fun interactions with children, it’s what makes me really love what I do! Add in a newborn baby and lovely parents, I’m telling you, the combination makes for such a wonderful morning!
Thank you for welcoming me into your home, for allowing me the pleasure of documenting your newborn, and for simply being so friendly. I truly enjoyed our time spent together and hope these images will always bring you fond memories of your newborns first few days of life.
