June | Burlington Lifestyle Photographer

Boy was it ever hard to narrow down my June preview from my 365 challenge.  The amount of images I have captured of our family life this past month is rather overwhelming.

This challenge really does just get better and better for me as the months pass.  I look so forward to the end result of stronger skills, large albums, and memories forever captured.

And so, a wee peek at our life, for the month of June!

Oh and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you CANADA!!!!

A treat | Burlington Newborn Photographer

Ahhhhhh what a breath of fresh air this darling little girl is ~ she was an absolute treat to photograph ~ from start to finish!

Thank you for sharing your precious baby girl with me for a couple of hours.  While your session didn’t allow us much time to chat and get to know one another, it did allow for plenty of posing and swoon worthy images.

Enjoy your peek!

Enjoyed the preview. She is a precious little “darling”. I can hardly wait to cuddle her. You will treasure her newborn pictures forever.

Restless | Burlington Newborn Photographer

She had plans of her own on this particular day ~ and while I’m all for working with babies either awake or asleep, she was simply the most fidgety little girl while awake ~ pumping those long legs as though she was riding a bicycle, arms up and down as though she was rowing ~ it was precious to watch but becomes rather challenging when trying to capture her.

When we did get her into a slumber, it was a deep one, and she allowed me to mould her as though she were putty.

All in all it was a challenging but successful session with this adorable baby girl!

Enjoy your peek Mom and Dad!

Storytelling | Burlington Baby & Family Photographer

While visiting from China, this beautiful family asked if I would photograph their gorgeous baby girl.  I was beyond flattered that they requested me and my creative vision and was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet and work with them!

When I asked mom why she chose my services, her response was ‘I like how you tell a story through your images!’ this put a huge smile on my face and it remained there for the entire day, I’ll tell you why………

While this profession is full of incredibly talented men and women, the industry is recently being littered with people calling themselves photographers because they have the gear.  They charge next to nothing for their ‘services’ and produce a handful of ‘say cheese’ images.  And while I can appreciate that this is all that some people really want out of a photography session, it’s not my idea of what a professional photographer should be producing.  But okay, enough with my rant, what I’m trying to say in a rather round about way is this ~ it feels really good to know that there are people that view photography as I do.  As a form of art, telling a story through images, with your family as the focus.

I hope you enjoy your personalized sesseion Mom and Dad!  I had a blast working with the three of you and hope you will look back on these images for years to come and remember what story you shared with me on this particular day!

lovely family! Heather, should I start to do my sessions in the summer?

Yearly | Burlington Family Photographer

I see them yearly, and each and every time we meet it’s as though no time has passed at all, well except for the fact that their gorgeous daughter is bigger of course 😉

I adore working with the three of you!  From hearing the stories that your precious girl has to share with me, to simply watching the three of you interact! The love you have for your daughter is so very evident.  It shows in the way your eyes light up when you look at her, your unique way of holding one anothers hands, and the sheer joy that shines through your sweet girl.  The connection is a strong one ~ that is for certain!

Already, I’m looking forward to our next session ~ to see how much she has grown, what her new likes and dislikes are, and to see how much stronger this connection of three has grown.
