That blog title may have you scratching your head a little, thinking, what in the world is there to say about new faces? Well, not much actually, but there is the fact that it’s just so nice to meet new people and see some new faces!
These clients are new to me, as I am to them. While that can be daunting at times, (the idea of meeting a fresh new bunch of people) this family felt like old friends to me! You may be wondering, why would meeting new people feel daunting? So, let me clarify that, as a photographer it’s your job to make your clients feel comfortable enough around to show love and affection towards their family members. It may sound like a super easy thing to do, but really think about your first meeting with people. Are you the type that has no problem loving on your family in front of new people, or does it take you a few meetings to open up a little?
I always thought I was the type of person that takes a while to warm up to people, by a while I mean like 4-5 meetings, but the more I work with new people the more I’m realizing, maybe I’m not that kind of person at all. Or maybe it’s the fact that I feel so comfortable with children, and that’s who I mainly focus on during my sessions. Either way, I’m finding it easier and easier to meet new people and have them feel a comfort level with me pretty fast. It’s kinda awesome actually, to know that I make people feel comfortable. Hmmm, the more I write my thoughts on this the bigger the smile on my face becomes.
Anyways, enough about me and my thoughts! I mentioned earlier that this family felt like old friends and they most certainly did. We had a lovely time chatting and getting to know each other while they simply enjoyed each others company and soaked all the kisses and snuggles that their children offered them. It was a melt worthy morning in deed, and I thank you for that Mom and Dad!
I hope you love this peek and I hope you were as comfortable with me as I was with you!
