It’s what my eyes are always in search of ~ pockets of light. You see photography is all about the light. You must find the most beautiful light possible, and know how to place your subject accordingly so that light defines their features and accentuates their beauty.
Many don’t know that lighting a newborn is very different from lighting a person that can stand or sit on their own. You see, newborns are always in a lying positing which makes the light hit them very differently then if they were standing/sitting. This is one of the many challenges that come into play when photographing babies. The rest, well let’s leave those for another time 😉
On this particular day the sky was overcast, creating a ginormous soft box inside my studio, and therefore leaving me with a huge pocket of light to work with. This little beauty was the highlight of it all.
Her features became so prominent, her beauty so delicate, her skin so radiant.
She was an absolute dream to photograph and I loved being surrounded by the presence of her brand new soul.
May she continue to bring much joy and happiness to your lives Mom and Dad.
PS ~ are you getting used to being called that yet?!?!?!?
