I just LOVE repeat clients. I photographed this little “man’s” mommy only weeks before with her brother and sister’s as a gift to their mother and father (I know, great gift right!) and after she saw her images she couldn’t wait to have me photograph her son. Again, as gifts, to both Grandmothers for Mother’s Day. Your so thoughtful “mom” 🙂
It has been quite some time since I’ve worked with a 6 month old babe and after this session I realized just how much I was missing it. This is definitely one of my favorite “stages”, after newborn of course. It took me a while to get into the groove as I’m so used to cuddling with newborns and sending them off into dream land, and this stage is the complete opposite. I spend most of the hour making a fool of myself trying to get a smile/giggle out of my subject, and this guy was quite a challenge in that area. He was so serious, and just stared down the center of the lens, which I may add, I was thrilled about. When I tossed the blanket over his head is when he really started to open up, he just loved it and was so entertained, who would have thunk it!
Mom, I’m so happy to have had the chance to work with you a second time, and meet your adorable son. I hope there will be many more sessions in the future as I’d love to see the little “man” grow and change through my lens.
