Itty Bitty | Maple Newborn Photographer

This newborn session took me out to Maple to meet this very handsome baby boy.  When I arrived he was hanging out in his swing, catching some z’s.  The first thing I noticed about him as he lay so peaceful was his full, luscious lips.  They are so pink and kissable.  I knew right then that I would definitely be using my macro lens to capture those lips up close.

When we took him out of his swing, sure enough, he woke up.  At 8 weeks old, it’s very difficult to keep a baby asleep while you undress them and move them around.  He stayed awake for the entire session and was content for the majority of that time.  It was wonderful to work with such a happy baby.

I used quite a bit of the time focusing on all his itty bitty parts, including hands, feet, eyelashes, and of course those lips.  As I was snapping away I was already envisioning the storyboard that I would create with the images.

Thank you mom, for welcoming me into your lovely home, allowing me the pleasure of working with your handsome little man, and for making me feel “at home”.

I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did creating them.

Hi Heather,
I am the proud aunt of this amazing little boy! When his mom told me to check out your blog, I really didnt know what expect. Once I saw the pictures, I said to his mom, thats not your son is it?…she said yes thats my son! WOW!!! Your work blew my mind. I cant believe this is my little nephew. He is such an amazing little human being. You made him a model. 🙂

Thank you.

Dear Heather,
The mother in these photos is my best friend of over 35 years. Her little boy is very special to her and you’ve captured his spirit beautifully in these photos (especially the first one).
Thank you
