This year, when I sent out the information for my Christmas Mini sessions, I was really quite sad when I didn’t hear anything from this particular couple. So many different scenarios went through my mind ~ have they found a new photographer? Were they not happy with their Christmas cards last year? ~ the list goes on and on, let me tell you. The joys of being a creative person I guess, it’s in me to second guess myself.

Turns out, I was way off…….thankfully 😉

They were expecting their second baby girl and figured it would be best to wait for her arrival for a session. It was by far the coolest of bookings, like ever, no fuss, no muss, just a message stating ~ hey Heather, we just had a baby girl! Can we bring her in to be photographed? Seriously, the most relaxed couple!!

I was ecstatic to hear that their family had grown with the addition of this darling little girl! And, she is just that, a darling!

So so so happy to see your family growing guys! I had a lovely afternoon with you’s and I thank you for your loyalty to me as your family photographer ~ really, it means the world to me that I’m choosen to photograph the incredible times in your lives.

Next up ~ a day in life session in your custom built home??? Well maybe after an outdoor session with the girls first 😉

At home with Alexander | Ancaster Newborn Photographer

First, may I just mention how much I enjoyed photographing your sweet baby boy in your stunning home ‘Mom and Dad’.

I used to shy away from in home newborn sessions as I found it was a ton of work to bring along all my props. But then, I had a shift in perspective, and decided to use my clients home as the scenery rather then oodles of props, and I must tell you, I simply love shooting newborns in their intimate surroundings.

I realized something pretty amazing during this session as well. After spending only a couple of hours photographing this adorable little man, it became clear to me that I felt as though I had known his mom for years. Strange right!?!?! And I don’t know where this feeling came from either. We just simply connected and I felt so very at ease with her.

So ‘Mom’, I thank you, first for welcoming me into your home, secondly for making me feel so at ease with you, and most importantly, allowing me the pleasure of getting to know you. You’re an incredibly sweet person, with a heart of gold. That little man is very lucky to have such a wonderful women as his Mommy!!

Would you take a look at that little face ~ ugh, I could seriously stare at him all day long!

He has a unique look, which maybe is what draws me to his beauty that much more, and when I say beauty, I mean in the most handsome of ways of course 😉

He’s a mighty fine mix of both his mom and dad, which is actually quite rare in itself. I find that newborns lean more towards one or the other, I don’t often see both parents at once. This too, could also be why I can’t take my eyes off of him.

None the less, you’ve got yourself one very handsome, precious baby boy Mom and Dad. A perfect companion for your eldest boy, who himself is quite a handsome young chap. A family full of beauties I tell ya!!!

So lovely to work with the four of you ~ Thank you for allowing me the pleasure!!
